My youngest son and I had some special Mommy & Son time last week Thursday and I took him to a local park.  He had so much fun running around and playing!  I think he really enjoyed all of Mommy’s attention too!  I intentionally brought my camera that day to snap a few pictures of him.  I have learned over the years that it is best to take WAY more pictures then you think you will use.  This ensures that you will have enough pictures to put on a scrapbook page and now with the ease of digital photography you have the luxury to snap as many pictures your camera can hold.

Like I mentioned, this was a pre-designed layout.  I did end up deleting and changing a few elements on the first page of the layout.  That is the beauty of these layouts, you can keep as much or as little of the layout as you want.  You can even take the whole layout and change out every element to create a completely different look!

I thought I would share a picture of the card that I made for my Mom & Mother-in-law.  I cannot take credit for the design of this card.  It’s one of those CASED cards, but I loved it so much I had to re-create it.  I hope you enjoy looking at it for your own inspiration!

What I came up with was this adorable box of thank you cards for each teacher.  There are four sets of cards in each box, including envelopes!  I packaged them all in a clear card box that I purchased (not SU!) and tied the box in some beautiful wide grosgrain ribbon (which i purchase on the clearance rack a few months back).  I also added a little tag just to finish the gift off.

Now I don’t know what it is about that little pig, but isn’t he just the cutest!!  The set that I used is called Button Buddies (item #122735 wood mount or #122737 clear mount).  I also used the Whisper White 5″ x 3 1/2″ notecards and envelopes (item #107311).  You can get 20  pre-scored note cards and envelopes for only $5.95!  The Thank You Kindly Stamp Set (#111700) that I used on these cards is one of my “go to” sets for thank you cards!  I love each of the four greetings.  By the way, this stamp set is on the Retiring Stamp Set list so if you don’t have it and want it you only have a few weeks left to order it!

This is a sweet page that was taken from a layout I found while surfing some of my favorite blogs.  That is a picture of my sweet baby Max at only three days old!  He is going to be two at the end of this month and I can hardly believe it.  With three boys and lots of pictures to scrapbook I am still working on baby pictures when I can.  I actually ended up designing this page first and then finding a picture to use and this one fit the page perfectly.

Aren’t my boys adorable?!  I wish I had more pictures of them in their Easter outfits, but I had a hard enough time getting the few pictures I did!  My goal was to attempt a nice family photo, but I think we are going to need a professional for that!  I really do love the way this page turned out in the end, despite the limited amount of pictures I had to choose from.  The base of this page is Downtown Grunge with a Vintage Overlay.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Eggceptional Easter Download.  That beautiful big doily on the page is the punch that comes with this kit, and I would personally buy the kit just for that!  The frames on the page are from Downtown Grunge and there are a few other random punches on the page (lace ribbon punch, tasteful trim, and flag punch).  The word Easter uses the Alphabet Soup Punches.  This is one AWESOME download for ONLY $2.95!!

Happy Friday!  I have a super fun card to share with you today!!  For our last SU! team meeting we were asked to swap cards that used a folding technique.  I received some awesome cards that I will share with you, but for today I am going to share the card that I swapped.  I didn’t have a lot of time to work on my swaps, so I used a fairly easy fold called the Joy Fold.  Isn’t it cute?!  The Designer Series Paper on the front is from the Summer Smooches.  The flower image on the front of the card is from Button Buddies.  I just love this set!  So cute and the buttons coordinate perfectly!  A little bit of Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine around the vase and the card is finished off!

This is the dimension of the card here.  You simply take a piece of 4 1/4 X 8 1/2 piece of card stock and score it at 5 1/2.  This creates the flap on the front of the card.  I created the inside piece by using the 3rd largest Decorative Label Framelit.  When you cut this part out you just want to make sure that your framelit is just above the fold line so that your piece stays in tact.  The flower on the front of the card was punched out using the Triple Layer Blossom Bouquet Punch, which sadly is now on the Retirement List!  It is currently on sale for $14.37 so if this is a punch you like, make sure to get it before it sells out!  You can see all of the retiring products online here.  The flower on the front also serves the purpose of keeping the card closed.

Here is a picture of the inside of the card.  I used a sentiment from the stamp set Friendly Phrases.  I am quickly falling in love with this stamp set and it is now one of my “go to” sets for sentiments.

The colors I used for this card were Summer Sun, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, and Whisper White.
