Hello and happy Wednesday!  I had some time to stamp this morning while my boys were playing and I was able to make several “manly” birthday cards using the Sail Away stamp from the 2011 Summer Mini Catalog.

If you love this stamp, make sure to get it before the end of August, because it will no longer be available after August 31, 2011!

One of the things I love about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is the demonstrator website called Stampin’ Connection.  This is a great resource for SU! demonstrators to use when we have business questions, want to chat with other demos, or need inspiration for a project.  The idea for this first card I found on the Stampin’ Connections website.  I almost copied the original exactly.  The sky and sea behind the sailboat is sponged with bashful blue ink and white craft ink (for the clouds).   The boat itself is paper-pieced.

The second card I made was designed with my brother-in-law in mind.  His birthday is coming up on Saturday and this is the card that he will get in the mail from me.  I hope he enjoys it!  I sponged the background of this card in a similar way as the first card.  I used not quite navy on this card for the sponging.

The last project I want to share with you today is a bookmark that I received as a swap when I went to Convention in Salt Lake City.  I thought this would be a perfect tag for a present, or you could even put in on a card front and make it into a great card!

I hope you enjoyed my projects today.

Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!
