If I had to choose one of my all time favorite stamp sets, I would honestly say that Lovely As A Tree ranked up there in the top five. This is my go-to stamp set for the difficult to create “man” cards and I love to use it on Christmas cards as well! I know that when this stamp set retires I will keep it in my stash of stamps that I cannot part with forever.
I was inspired to create this card by a card that I pinned on Pinterest. I ended up changing quite a few things about the original card, but the colors and focal image are basically the same. I colored on and stamped the big oak tree using Old Olive and Chocolate Chip markers. Once I stamped the image i went over it with my blender pen and also added a little bit of color to the trunk and grass around the tree. The Very Vanilla cardstock is heavily sponged and distressed using Chocolate Chip ink and there is a little bit of First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) peeking out of the corner. The Houndstooth Textured Impressions Folder was used to emboss the top part of this card and then DSP on the bottom is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Pack. To finish it off I added a little bit of Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon and mounted the whole front onto a Very Vanilla card base.
A perfect card for that guy in your life or a nature enthusiast! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! Kristin
