I love simple beauty! Something about it has always caught my eye. When I saw this card I knew I had to re-create it for myself. As I have said before I don’t always come up with all of my ideas for cards, I often draw from other sources for inspiration. Sometimes it’s a color palate that I see or a layout that catches my eye. The original card that I had to re-create came from Maureen Merritt. I love her style! In making my card I did change up quite a few of the elements, but the basic layout and color palate are the same.
The squares on the bottom of the card are 1 1/4″ by 1 1/4″ in Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, and Basic Grey. I used the new in-color Midnight Muse for the flowers which come from the stamp set called Field Flowers. The saying is also stamped in Midnight Muse and comes from the Blessings From Heaven stamp set.
Just look at how crisp that image is! I can’t help but want to use all of my new ink pads since Stampin’ Up! released the firm foam ink pads. They really make a world of difference! If you haven’t tried them you just have to! They are wonderful! To finish the card off I tied some Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon on the front and added a few tiny Basic Rhinestones. This layer was then mounted on another piece of Whisper White card stock. Simply Gorgeous!
