Hello!  So I have a cute little card to share with you today.  I was working on swap designs for the SU! Convention coming up in less than a week (yikes), and I decided to pull out a new stamp set I earned free for my sales during Sale-A-Bration.  This set (For the Birds #126405W or #126407C) was one that caught my eye right away when I looked at the new catalog.  I don’t do a lot of coloring and this stamp set definitely calls for some coloring.  I happened to be at a demonstrator meeting on Monday night and we did a watercoloring technique with the Watercolor Wonder Crayons.  So, I decided to use this same technique at home for this card.

I have learned that the key to watercoloring is to make sure that you stamp your image in Stazon so that the edges don’t bleed when you use your blender pen or aqua painter.  I used my blender pen directly on the Watercolor Wonder Crayons and transfered the color to my paper.  It creates a nice soft watercolored image.  Even with watercoloring this image, this card took under 10 minutes to make.

Do you see the cute little punched edge on this card?  I used the new Large Scallop Edgelit (#127019) to create the edge and then punched those cute little dots using the new Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack.  I had to have the new Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack (#126187) as soon as I saw it.  It comes with three different templates to use, which coordinate with some of the punches, Edgelits, and Framelits!!  Gotta love coordination!  It just adds the perfect little touch to finish off your card.

Have I convinced you that you need the Watercolor Wonder Crayons or do you have some that might be collecting dust on your shelf like mine were?  Well, go get them out and put them to use!!

Don’t forget that all this month if you spend a minimum of $50 you can purchase the Reason To Smile stamp set for ONLY $5.00!!  What a deal!  Check out more on this speical HERE.

Be Creative, Kristin
