I have been busy preparing for my Holiday Stamp-A-Stack and several other events that I have going on the next few months!  I feel like I have been living in my stamping room.  It’s really a good thing, it’s just that I haven’t made a lot of time lately to post on the good ol’ blog.  🙂

I thought I would share with you one of the cards that I designed for my annual Holiday Jingle event.  I typically design many holiday cards and then I go through them and pick my favorites.

I try to mix things up a little between cards that are more elegant in style, more whimsy, traditional colors, you get the idea.   This is one of the more elegant cards that I designed.  I started by stamping the lodge stamp in versamark from the Christmas Lodge stamp set onto a piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  I then embossed the lodge using Early Espresso Embossing Powder.  I love how embossing powder brings out the details in your images, and this lodge has a lot of details.  The Crumb Cake base is layer on a piece of Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper.  Then it was all layered on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock that was dry embossed with the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder.  The base of the card is Early Espresso.  I added some Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon and a sentiment to finish it off.  This card comes together very easily, but it looks so elegant when you are finished.  I love cards like that!

Be creative,
Kristin
