I have a fun little card for you today! I have been wanting to play with the Postage Due stamp set since I saw it in the new catalog! I finally found a reason today with the Create with Connie and Mary – Sketch Challenge CCMC213!
I will share with you the sketch. Isn’t this a fun one?! So many possibilities. In fact I might just take out a different stamp set and see what I can come up with later.
I didn’t have a hard time deciding on the colors, in fact I just pulled the color combo from the comfort Cafe DSP. See how it matches my table runner?! Yep, these are pretty much the colors of my kitchen. The colors I used are Cajun Craze, Midnight Muse, Soft Sude, Summer Starfruit, and Very Vanilla. In addition to the Postage Due Stamp Set, I also used the Travel Journal and Viola’s Lace Builder Wheels.
Look at the fun detail on that card. Did you notice that the stamps are punched out using the Postage Stamp Punch? It really makes them look authentic. Hard to tell on the top picture, but I used clear embossing powder on the background. The Fancy Fan Embossing Folder on the piece of Soft Suede Cardstock and a piece of Crochet Trim Ribbon finish off the card.
